Full DM Tag Application
Requirements
- Have no open PR warnings and be an approved Trial DM that has run 10+ sessions on the server
Application
-
Apply for a Full DM Tryout by creating a private thread in #dm-requests ping Auditors, Lore Consultants, Player Relations, and Rule Architects into it, declaring your intent to run a Full DM Tryout.
- Run 5 games for your Full DM Tryout. They cannot be Co-DMed games.
- Each game must be separate continuous games: an extended multipart session of 6+ hours counts as one game. Each game should be unique, not multiple re-runs of one game.
- Strive to showcase the three pillars of play (combat, exploration, and social interaction) in your games and ensure they fit the server setting.
- Post the Full DM Tryout Feedback Form for players to fill out at the game’s end. It is advised to indicate the expectation of this form being used in your game advertisement.
- You must have at least two or more members of Staff and/or Full DMs as a player or spectator in one or more games to fill out the above form, including detailed feedback.
- For each game in #session-log, note in the session log DM Tryout Game (X out of 5), with X as the number of Tryout games ran so far
- After running a game, inform Staff in the private thread for follow up and feedback. After the final game is ran, Staff will review all feedback and pending approval, you’ll receive your Full DM Tag.
Feel free to reach out to fellow DMs and Staff for advice and assistance prior to running your games.
Homebrew Tag Application
Requirements
- Have no open PR warnings and be an approved Trial or Full DM that has run 10+ sessions on the server
- Have created and ran in games 5+ homebrew monsters as reviewed and approved by Homebrew DMs in #dm-collaboration
Application
- Create and submit three homebrew monsters of your own original creation which are exactly CR 5, CR 10, and CR 15 to #dm-requests and ping the Lore Consultants and Rule Architects. Each statblock must have a worked out and explained CR calculation. Either submit all three at once, or one at a time as if completing a checklist.
- At least one of these monsters must possess Legendary Actions. In addition, at least one of the monsters must have an associated lore sideblock to provide context to the monster and fit it within the setting of the Forgotten Realms and broader D&D multiverse as if it was to be used on the server, using the format and style as found alongside monster statblocks in the Monster Manual.
- The statblocks must conform to 5e style and mechanics and be balanced appropriately. If your statblocks are rejected, you may be asked to create new ones for submission.
- You can use any easily read format that supports 5e statblocks, but Homebrewery is preferred.
Be sure to review the Monster Manual and the monster creation section of the 2014 Dungeon Master’s Guide. Feel free to reach out to fellow DMs and Staff for advice and assistance in determining how to create monsters according to 5e style and mechanics, and feel free to review our Monster Making Guide.
Ultimately however, your submitted monsters must be of your own original creation and design.
